About Turkey Troubles

Friends don't let friends farm drunk.

I initially started this blog in December 2013 simply as a means to consolidate, organize and otherwise preserve all the posts I had made on Facebook between November and December regarding my Thanksgiving turkey's escape and subsequent pursuit.  Hence the name, Turkey Troubles.

After that saga had concluded I continued to update the blog with new adventures.  It has become a fun diversion and creative outlet for me, as well as a labor of love.  I'm still very new to all of this, and I know that I'm not very good at graphics or blogging, or even farming, but I strive to improve with each new escapade.

In spite of my shortcomings, I do hope that you find something here to bring a smile to your face, because the primary purpose of this blog is to entertain you -- my fellow FV2 fans.  So if you happen to see something that you particularly enjoy here, please don't hesitate to post a comment and let me know.

Many of my stories are told through pictures. If you find that a picture is too small to see well, try clicking on it to get an enlarged version.  From there you should see thumbnail links to additional pictures within the post below, and you can page through them like a slideshow.  In fact, if you click through the slideshow very quickly it might even look like a movie!  Wouldn't that be neat?  Watch out Spielberg, here comes Choo Dessny!

If you are new to this blog and wish to start at the beginning, the very first post that started it all is located here.  From there you can simply click the "newer post" link at the bottom-left of the screen to advance through the whole turkey trouble saga and see for yourself what all the fuss wasn't about.

  1. Anytime I'm beginning to get a sense of boredom surrouding the labor it takes to keep my farm going, I just turn here and I'm completely reivigorated. Have yet to read a bad post.

    1. Wow, what an amazingly cool comment! Often wonder if anyone is even looking at the blog and start doubting myself, and then I read something like this and I too feel completely reinvigorated. Thank you so much for your kind words!
